Reception Hall
The Reception Hall was built in the white colonial style, an architectural style popular during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. The building is 10m wide, 35.25m long and 12.91m high. The facades of the front and the back entrances have the following engraving: “เคาน์ซิลออฟสเตด-ที่ปฤกษาราชการแผ่นดิน” (“Councilor of State - Advisor to the Nation”) as well as the emblem of the Administrative Court.
A statue of King Chulalongkorn (seated) is located in front of the Reception Hall. Being two meters tall, the statue is one and a half times the real size of the King. The base of the statue is 1.9m wide, 2.2m long and 1.5m high. It was built to commemorate His Majesty’s Graciousness in establishing the Council of State which was the origin of the Thai Administrative Court. The Reception Hall serves as a venue for important ceremonies and for receiving eminent guests of the Administrative Court.
